About the Artist
Octavian Fitzherbert is an Irish artist. His work is sketchy and imaginative, bizarre and brilliant. He was awarded a much coveted place at The National Drawing School and then went on to attain a BA in Fine Art from The National College of Art and Design, Ireland. After that he made the move into animation. It’s a medium that suits his approach to storytelling, which is often inspired by fairytales, is meandering, obscure and hilarious. All more than possible to achieve with animation.
About The Composer
Ben was encouraged by his twin brother, Noah, who works at the prestigious animation studio Giant Ant, to pursue a life in sound design. His musical grounding comes from spending years transcribing the masters of jazz by ear. He took the same approach sound design, learning by doing, emulating his favourite artists. Alongside his compositions for animation, he is in a jazz and R&B band in Chicago. That energy feeds into his compositions, which are fresh, impeccably produced, and make use of well chosen samples combined with layered melodics.
