Thanks from the Heart is a cosy thank you from the home on the hill. Wood burner ablaze. Logs crackling. The warmth of the lights inside are seen shining through the windows from a distance. The evening is calm and the chimney puffs out heart shaped smoke. It’s a peaceful way to say thank you.
George Warren is an English Director and Director of Photography (DoP). His main focus is stop-motion animation, a medium he has arrived at from a background in photography and design. You can see that background shine through his films. They are led by the camera and highlight the importance of careful lighting and composition. His 2018 graduation film Uki which he co-directed with Ieuan Lewis was funded by the BFI and aired on the BBC. He also works on commercial projects, with a list of clients including Amnesty International, Greenpeace, and Pink Pepper Gin.
